In March of 2020, MMGY Global invited Spaces to provide furniture solutions & budget pricing for evaluation to be considered for the upcoming move of their headquarters from Country Club Plaza to the Edison Building in Overland Park. Spaces’ long-term relationship with MMGY contributed to a successful outcome with the creative touch of the Spaces design team.
Our team worked closely with the COO, and the Facilities Manager to create an environment that offered an open floor concept while integrating more collaborative work spaces that supported many meeting types and integrated technology. Assisting MMGY to develop their unique and creative brand was a top priority.
This project included a detailed inventory list of what would move from their current location and managing that move process. Developing an overall, phased move schedule to allow for the required existing furniture to coordinate with the new materials to blend was a positive experience.
Images of the 4th floor show the many collaborative areas where the entire staff can meet for meetings both large and smaller break out meetings. The telescoping conference room wall offer privacy when needed. Both high top and dining height tables and seating provide a mix of different solutions for many needs. Soft seating is integrated throughout, including booth seating/tables where monitors are included for virtual meetings.
Most recently, early 2022, Spaces worked directly with the COO and the MMGY Creative Team to once again provide furnishings and accessories to support and enhance a “colosseum” presentation area as well as a virtual golf simulator area. The workspace requirement of a very “flexible” space can be achieved by the users in the space. All the worktables are on casters and the plug and play wiring system offers the creative team to change the layout for strategic projects very easily. Post move-in August 2022, Spaces will evaluate how the product is functioning for follow-up discussions.
